Playstation has some of the best marketing my memory holds. Still can't shake the Aphex Twin advert.
I didn't buy it at full price. I saw reports on performance issues and decided against it. Then once that was fixed it was on sale.
If it had have released in such a good state maybe I would have, it's not on me that it wasn't the case.
I think I would have loved a co-op experience of this. Me and a RL Boozer.
No Zombies in this game mate. Only Freakers ;)
I must admit this was one of my favs of last gen. I get the negative points people brought up regarding pacing and why it may not fit everyone's tastes. But for me, I just got lost in the game, chilling on my bike. Took me ages to finish it as I was engrossed.
Series X was a nice exciting unboxing for sure. But, once you've done it once it just ends up in the attic or in the bin like any other product. If I had to give up a slightly premium unboxing experience in favour of sustainability, I'll happily do that.
Games are more expensive to make and market yes. But the audience has increased significantly increasing profits.
Where I am prices have gone from £50-55 up to £69.99. That's way above inflation. People's wages however have declined during the same period on average.
If anything it will be least interesting. I know for me, this hike has decreased my likeliness to spend on a new game. It'll have to be near perfectly reviewed and empty...
Good point Sagapo. I got into a lot of great Indie titles last gen. They have been on fire.
I agree, but they did become a bit thin on the ground for a while. I credit PS4 for keeping them alive whilst other studios focused on GASS and Battle Royals.
I agree, there is a lot to look forward to. I've just started on Outriders, so far that's a lot of fun also. At least enough fun until Re Village
I'm sorry to hear that. I think my worst was Terminator 2 on the CPC 464.
Perhaps on console. But Doom was a massive hit before that.
Same position as you. I get a lot from it. Particularly letting me try out genres I would normally overlook.
Which is fine to me. I imagine there are a lot of people who missed it because of its initial reviews on release. I loved the title and encourage anyone who can to give it a go. It did a great job of breathing life into the very saturated zombie game market.
Meanwhile, I am trying to smash through FF7 remake, which is great. Pity I can't pay a small sum to upgrade it to PS5 (they want me to shell out £70 to double the frame rate, no thanks).
I have the same thoughts as you. I enjoyed the first one, but the polish of the second sucked me in... There were some really immersive levels and dare I say it... I actually liked playing Abbie.
I loved zombie nation and alienation. So I am very interested to see what they have come up with now they have a bit more money.
Haha, I would be well up for Space Dinosaurs.
@Derek, that might be true, I am certinaly not saying Demon Souls is not worth the money. I just can't justify the cost is all. So I will wait until it comes down a bit.
I do love gaming this is true, and I do support it. But I have to weight up cost and reward for myself. I am in no way suggesting anything should be free.
And @anast. I am fortunate, it was hard to get hold of a PS5, it took me a couple of weeks of chasing Discord groups to get l...
I'm fortunate enough to own both. My problem is I own a PlayStation Digital and I cannot bring myself to sink £70 on Demon Souls or any of the other up and coming games at that price.
I am the same with XSX, but it's less of an issue as I am playing things through on gamespass in the meanwhile (I also have a disc drive for deals).
Right now, unless you're happy with paying a kings ransom for games. XSX is what I would recommend buying to people. ...
Sad times, waiting for a digi copy of Ghost of T :(
And Leisure Suite Larry in the 80's ;)
